New address

Hello everyone,

It's been a while again. We have moved. We are finally in and most of the place is put together. It was a quick move didn't have any intention on moving again but alas we had to. We are now in Leominster and we love the new place. You haven't heard from me because we were packing and moving. My stamping supplies are out but not the least bit organized so I haven't had any stamping projects up yet. Hopefully by August. In the mean time I hope to have a get together with my stamping girls so I can give out the new catalogs and just enjoy each other's company.  That's what's happening here and why you haven't heard from me recently. Thanks for checking in have a good day. Til next time.

Graduation Invites

Hello Everyone,

It's been a couple of busy weekends. Last weekend was a week end of partying and celebrating. My younger son K. J. graduated from LHS last Sat. He had three parties to attend. Sun. another party to attend. I've never eaten so many hamburgers and hot dogs in one weekend.

This past Sat We had a dance recital so therefore there wasn't time for a party for K.J. His party will be on June 25th. These are the invites I created using MDS (My Digital Studio) a software program that can be purchased through Stampin' Up! All the material on this dvd has images from Su, embellishments, punches and designer series paper that can be used for digital scrap booking and Hybrid type projects, cards, banners and such. I'm really beginning to enjoy this program, it took me to warming up to it.

Not stamping much

Hello everyone,
It's been a very busy couple of weeks. I haven't done much stamping because we are in the process of moving and we have been putting an offer on a place and had to keep going back and fourth to the real estate agent. Also my younger son K.J. graduated high school this weekend. Yay K.J. way to go! we had three parties we went to on Saturday the actual day of graduation and then yesterday we were at another. It's just been crazy busy. Now he's done and needs to go out to work until college. His graduation party we are doing at the end of June because we have a dance recital and moving and father's day for the next three weekends. I hate the thought of packing everything up again. We just moved two years ago and here we go again. Anyway hope everyone had a nice weekend. Thanks for visiting. Til next time.

Another Hybrid card

Hello Everyone,

It's Tuesday and it was a really nice day for a change. It actually felt like summer. Now it's clouding up and we are suppose to get thunder boomers and then rain for the next few days. It's been a busy week and month, we've survived another prom, a play performance, and this is my son's last week of school because he is a senoir and they get out earlier than the rest of the school. Graduation is June 4rth and so is dress rehearsal for our dance recital how much fun does that sound. Then comes dance recital on June 11th and then a graduation party for K.J. It's gonna be busy. Well on that note I've been working on many graduation cards lately. A woman that I work with has asked me to make a couple for her and then I have my nephew and my own son all graduating.

This card is a hybrid card because I wanted to personalize it and I don't have the stamps to do it with so I have to combine the digital and the real cardstock.
I really like the way this turned out.
Stamps: none image and text came from MDS(My Digital Studio) through SU.
Inks: Crumb Cake Not Quite Navy
Card stock: Naturals White and Crumb Cake
Accessories: Tulip EB folder, SU sponges, and stampin write marker with color spritzer tool

On the other note I've also been working on a couple of Farther's day cards. I'm planning to use this one maybe for a SAS that I have scheduled for June. This is not a hybrid.
Supplies for this card are
Stamps: Sense Of Time, Oval All
Inks: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, To the nines DSP
Accessories: Jumbo brads, vintage brads, stamping sponges, MD oval punch, and Chocolate Chip satin ribbon.
Well that's what I've been up to. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day. Til next time.

Hybrid graduation card

Hello Everyone,

I have owned My Digital Software from Stampin' Up! for almost a year .  I haven't used it much but would like to use it more. I created a graduation card for a friend's niece who is graduating from high School this year. I really do like the way it came out. I printed it on regular printer paper and then added my card stock colors behind it and embellished it with some vanilla rosettes. I guess you would  call it a Hybrid card some digital and some stamping? I liked it so much that I made this card from the MDS studio for my son also just changed the ribbon to the Baker's Twine and used silver brads with stars instead of rosettes. His school colors are blue and white. I will put that one  up when I  finally print it. This was a really fun project. I printed this on my home printer, at 100% best color.
Thanks for visiting, have a good night. Til next time.

Baby Girl name frame

Hello Everybody,
It's Monday so happy Monday. This is a name frame that I just finished for my niece's friend's baby. She asked me about it earlier and said she wanted to confirm the baby's name so I waited and then today she informed me that the baby came early so I had do some quick handy work on this one. It's done now.  The end is cut a little bit because it wouldn't all fit into the scanner. Here are the details
stamps: Pure and Simple alphabet. (retired)
 Inks: Certainly Celery
CS.: Designer paper which has been retired for a couple of years so I don't remember the name of this one. Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery, WW.
Accessories: Big Shot, Vanilla Rosettes,  which I colored with a stampin write marker in Pretty In Pink, Hodge podge Hard ware in Antique Brass (retired), Sweetest stems sisslits, Beautiful Wings sizzlits. Also used Certainly Celery ribbon bundle(retired) Chantilly lace trim also on the end I used some Pretty In Pink taffeta ribbon tied with some Chantilly Lace trim in a not plus a very small butterfly on the E which can't be seen here. I hope it was what she was looking for in colors. She said light pink and light green.
I impressed my self today I scrap booked another page.that makes two pages so far for the month of May, National Scrap booking month. It was my son's girlfriend's junior prom. There will be another next week because he has Senior prom on Sat. I'm not use to all this scrap booking stuff, maybe I'll get better with practice. just maybe.lol.
Thanks for stopping in ,have a great night. Til next time.

Technique cards

Hello everyone,
What a beautiful day it is here. It got to be 75 yay! I've been working on a couple of cards.  One is for my class which we will be doing the knotted flower technique which I got from Madeline Morello on Split coast stampers, here is her blog www. thestampingstudio.blogspot.com., if you want to check out some of other cards using the knotted flower. It is really neat because you can use this technique on sb pages cards or anyplace that you need an embellishment.
The supplies used  for this card:
Stamps: Sincere Salutations
 Inks: Basic Black
CS: Real Red, Love Letter Designer paper,Basic Black and very vanilla.
Accessories: Big shot with the tulip Eb. folder which you can't see very well on the scan. I used it on the edges of the black going across. Scallop Trim border punch, real red 1/8 taffeta ribbon, for the knotted ribbon, black Grosgrain ribbon, basic pearl jewels,, md oval punch, scallop oval punch, antique brad, dimensionals and mini glue dots.
I also tried another really neat technique that I would like to show at my class but don't know if we'll have time, maybe, we'll see here is a card using that technique. This is a card I cased from a lady named Pam Logan on Split coast Stampers. It looks like the gear images are embossed right into the card. I think I read somewhere it was called the  Pessed Flowers except I did it with the gears.
Supplies used for this card
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Ink: Soft Suede.CS: Not Quite Navy, WW, Soft Suede
Accessories: Big shot, Lattice EB. Folder, Coggs Gear Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch Dimensionals and mini Glue Dots.
