Catalogs Recycled

Well hello everyone,
welcome back. I have two days off and and seeing I can't talk to much due to this laryngitis thing that I seem to have I decided to make a few things. By the way my boys and my husband think this is pretty terrific lol. I can squeak a few words out here and there.
Any ways I came across this in Stampin' Connection how to use your recycled catalogs. This is pretty good. I made three bags but it took me 5 times to make the first one right. What do you think pretty cute huh?
I have to thank Maria Fennelly for her wonderful tutorial on how to do this, you can find her video at http://www.stampinconnection.com/video/upcycle-your-old-catalogs.  I now have three bags that are ready to go for Christmas gifts, how cool is that? All I need to do now is create some cute little gift tags to match, but that's for another day.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day , til next time.
Happy Stamping!

Coffee Time

 Welcome back friends,

Fall is now in the air. I believe yesterday was the first day of Fall. Air is crisp, football season is well upon us, the leaves are just beginning to turn colors. I love early Fall.
I finally got some time and inspiration to play with this set from SU.  I loved this set and bought it a while back and just inked it up for the first time last week. Here are the cards I made using this set. I admit I cased them all and changed a little bit because I didn't have the same ribbon or designer series paper, that I cased from.
The first card is done using Calypso Coral card stock and crumb cake card stock. The circles were done with a real coffee mug bottom with baked brown sugar and spritzed some water over it . I loved that idea that came from a couple of people on SC. I used the Perfect Blend stamp set and the very first paper pumpkin stamp set, washi Tape from  Epic Day Journal kit and Epic Day DSP. A button from SU and the early espresso Baker's Twine.
The second card I used Crisp Cantaloupe, Early Espresso and Tea Party DSP (retired). The Chalk Talk thinlits embossing folders Polka Dot and Clouds. Victorian Lace and Early Espresso taffeta ribbon and flower trim from SU.
The last card I used Epic Day DSP which I'm trying to use up, love the colors in that stack, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. Birtday Sketches stamp set, and bitty Banner thinlts and Pool Party Ribbon.
That's it for now I need to get ready for work, boy that hour went by fast. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy the rest of the day, Come back again to see more creations. Til next time.

Come One Come all

Come one come all welcome back
I got some time to craft today. Come celebrate with us at my next stamping class. It's every thing Fall from Halloween, colored leaves and even a technique to go with the season. It's called Ghosting. Of coarse this technique can be used any time of the year, but what better time than Halloween to learn it. It's pretty simple.

These are the projects I worked on today while I had a day off. The two cards used the ghosting technique. The muslin bag used a few new products such as the Chalk Talk framelit, black glitter and the spritzing tool which as you can see I  haven't quite got the hang of that yet. I guess I was a little heavy handed in spots. It's going to take some practice. It still turned out o.k though and of coarse I haven't filled the bag with goodies yet either. I do like these little muslin bags from SU.

The next project on the right is a hand stamped towel. I used the French Foliage stamp set and acrylic paints from a local craft store.  The next thing I used was SU 's chevron ribbon in Pumpkin Pie for more color.

The card below used the Ghosting technique again, this time, using the French Foliage stamp set creating a Fall card, good for the season or Thanksgiving just change the sentiment. I used Birthday because I can always use a Birthday card for someone, they are the cards I use and need the most.
