Other cards using Faux Patina Technique and SAB set

       Good Morning,
Here are the other cards that my Clearly Contagious girls made at my Technique class. Faux Patina meets  Sale- a- bration.  This technique is great for an aged metal look which works well for masculine cards. For instructions on this technique go to the phone booth card on this page. Stay tuned for some samples of the SAS cards we will be making in my SAS class coming up in Feb. Check  out my DBWS  at my Business web site which is in the sidebar to the right for dates and times or my facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/4everstampingpam facebook.com/4everstampingpam  Thanks for stopping by til next time, have a great day.

Date Night

Well my hubby and I finally did a date night.  The day started out with running errands like taking the dog to the groomer ,grocery shopping which I absolutely hate doing, but hey we have to eat right?
Later I stopped off at Barnes and Nobles and decided that I needed a book for blogging. So I bought Blogging for Dummies because I know how to do some things but there is a lot I don't know, hopefully that will help me make this blog more entertaining and interesting. While we were at Barnes and Nobles I ran into a friend with her two girls and her husband, it was really nice to see her and her family , we talked and caught up for a while and then we each had to get going. It was really nice.
It was Saturday night and the boys were gone so we decided to make it a date night . We had a gift card from Christmas to a Place called The Rhyme and Thyme it was good and quiet, the atmosphere was nice. After dinner we went off to the movies and we were like a half hour early , usually when we are that early, we keep ourselves amused by counting how many people are in the theater  you gotta laugh about it . We need to get a life. lol. We saw Silver Lining Play book with Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. It was really good I loved it, it was comical and sad and it sure hit home in some areas of family life, such as mental health issues and sports fans within the home. In the end it was a feel good movie and our night ended on a nice evening. Thanks for stopping by and check back often to see what I am learning from my Blogging for Dummies Book as well as my stamping projects and classes. Til next time.

Frustration and discouragement with links and web sights

I can't begin to explain the frustration and the discouragement that I'm expeiriencing trying to learn how to manage my Su DBWS, my personal blog and my Business Face book page. It's driving me insane. I just want to be able to link one place to another and it always goes wrong. I've looked at othre blogs, and web sights and face book pages and if you press the link it goes right to that particular web sight. How do you do that? Is there a way I can learn how to put buttons like shop now or SAB onto my face book/ blog page with out going to college? I don't know the computer language that well, I thought I was doing so well, I've come along way and learned how to do some things like upload and even start a blog /business Face book page but This other stuff I can't seem to master ,let alone understand. I really would like to get my name out there so I can start running this as a business. Ive been a SU Demonstrator for 7 years, but it's been more of a hobby , I want more from it. Any ways that's my thought for today. Thanks for stopping by and listening, til next time. Posted at Jan 23, 2013 08:05 AM

Big Game Day

Well it's Sunday and the patriots lost the big game. I know my house hold will be upset, I can here my husband and my older son now, talking to themselves about how horrible they played.lol. It was dissapointing some, the Superbowl won't be as exciting as it would have been if they got in, but I do like to watch the commercials.
Had a nice relaxing class tonight with one of my stamping girls it was nice. We talked, had pizza and stamped and learned a new technique. A good way to end an evening. Until next time, stop by again.
Happy Stamping,
Pam

Happy Saturday, this is my second post of the New Year, I'm hoping to post daily or at least every couple of days. This will have to be a New years resolution of mine kinda, I don't like to make them because I usually break them with the first month, I know, I know that's bad.
I have to say, I am loving!! the new SAB stamp set Feeling Sentimental. It has an old style Ferris Wheel, an old bike and an old telephone booth that looks like the one from the series Dr. Who,and something we haven't seen in a long time since the cell phone came along. Here is a  of sample using one of the stamps. This is the phone booth. I used Midnight muse card stock and whisper white cs both are Stampin' Up! and I used the Faux Patina Technique using the hounds tooth embossing folder also using stampin' Up! Ink choices were Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Always Artichoke, and Early espresso and vintage brad. I thought I uploaded the bike card to my computer but I guess I didn't yet. I'll post another time.
The Faux Technique is done with these materials,
stampin' sponges, 4 different inks a neutral,2 medium colors and one dark in this case the ones I mentioned above.
1 step is sponging the embossing folder with the neutral color, crumb cake sponge the folder on the side that says sissix and run it through the big shot with the card stock.
Step 2 take the second color the lighter of the two colors up above and sponge it over the raised images from the embossing folder, in this case Marina Mist, then take the next color and sponge over that one  which was the Always Artichoke and then sponge the Early espresso over all,
3 Take the embossing buddy or any thing that you can dry the ink or the heating tool.
4 Once dry take some embossing powder and your versa mark I used gold for this particular card heat with the heat tool and whala your done.
We will be doing this technique in my Tech class that I am doing tomorrow. Talk to you again and hopefully I will Have the other samples up then. Thanks for visiting til next time.

A long time away

O.k here we are again, trying to get back into my blogging, but a lot of things have changed on here, so once again it is like I'm brand new.
I don't know where to begin, my last post was I think in May of last year. A lot has gone on since then. First I lost my job in May that was a bummer. It took me a month or so to find a new one, my creativity went right out the window for what ever reason. On a good note my younger son decided to go back to school after having a tough time last year and ended up dropping out because he was so overwhelmed, I got a job, yay, I am so greatful for that. So that being said here I am trying to get back into the swing of my SU business  and creating. So hopefully I will be back to posting .
I have changed the look of my blog , I like it but it's not perfect and I'm sure I will be changing things up constantly til I get it right and interesting again.
Happy stamping!
