Christmas Card DSP week 2

Hello Everyone,

The Deck the Halls Designer Series paper is so pretty that the paper along with card stock alone make really pretty cards with out stamping. The bottom card is cased from Marni Levitt one of the people I had done some  get togethers with.  Remember the 12 weeks of Christmas cards I was telling you about in another post? Well the bottom one is her week 2, I still have to get week three up,I'm actually a week behind. The bottom one I changed slightly, I used the Vintage Wallpaper EB folder where she used one of the Texturze  plates for the vanilla panel. The one on the upper right I decided to use some of the DSP I had left over from the one on the bottom also have the cardinal which was made from the same sheet of DSP.These two were really easy and quick to make.

The recipe for the upper right.

Stamps: Bells and Boughs although you can't see it very well, it has Merry Christmas embossed in gold
Ink: Versa Mark
Card stock: Cherry Cobbler, Deck the Halls DSP.
Accessories: Gold EB powder and Heat Tool.
The recipe for the second card.
Stamps: None
Ink: None
Card stock: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler,  Deck The Halls DSP,Very Vanilla.
Accessories: Vintage wallpaper EB folder, Big shot,Cherry Cobbler seam binding.

Here is the third card I made using the left over DSP and I did use a stamp with this one.
Stamps: Christmas cardinal.
Inks: Stazon Black,  Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler.
Card Stock: Always Artichoke, Basic Black, Brushed Gold, Cherry Cobbler,  Deck The Halls DSP,Very Vanilla.

November stamping class projects

Hello Everyone,

Here are a couple of the projects that we will be making in our November stamping class. The decorative pumpkin that is made out of DSP and the Fall luminary using the big Shot Fancy favor die.
These are sure to brighten up any Thanksgiving table as extras or as a center piece with the Turkey nuggets which I haven't uploaded yet because they don't scan well. May have to take a photo rather than scanning. Would rather scan than take a photo because I'm not real familiar with uploading from my camera. I've done it a couple of times but still not sure. Will be posting the turkeys as soon as I can.
These projects were really a lot of fun to make. This is the luminary without lighting it, maybe I can get a pic of it when it's lit. I will try.
Recipe for Pumpkin
  Stamps: French Foliage
Inks: Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso
Card Stock: Island oasis DSP , WW
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain ribbon, Always Artichoke Grosgrain ribbon

Christmas shopping in Maine

Hello everyone,

Been away for a short time. I have been enjoying a weekend away with my mom in Maine for a Christmas Shopping spree. Got most of it done except the immediate, the 2 boys my hubby and of coarse my mom because she was with me. Fri night was horrible weather but the rest of the week end was just beautiful. It was nice to get away and be able to relax and not be up at 4;00am to be at work. We didn't have to hurry to get anywhere. We also ate very well. Love the Kittery Outlets especially the Lnidt chocolate outlet. I got so many good deals there. Also the Cannon factory which I ended up getting sheets and a quilt for my son's new bed. Curtains for our bedroom, a couple of things greatly needed in the bathroom. It was just a great week end. Now back to reality.LOL. Thanks for stopping by, have a good day. Til next time.
Happy Stamping.

Christmas Card week 1

Hello Everyone,
Here is a card that was sent to my E-mail from one of the demonstrators/upline that  did Quarterly meetings in Rhode Island that I use to go to. Her name is Marni Levitt. She is doing an e-mail 12 weeks of Christmas and this is the Christmas card week 1 that I cased from that. I didn't really change up this one at all , except the grosgrain ribbon because I didn't have the 5/8 width. Very simple but cute.
It's been quite the weekend. My younger son K.J went to a friend's house Friday night. I was just going to bed at about 11:30 when the phone call came in. " There's been a serious accident K.J and a few friends were in the bedroom and the bed collapsed onto  K.J's  head. I was soo scared all I could think about was that his skull was crushed. She said we should pick him up and take him to the hospital,so my husband and I went to get him. Luckily it wasn't as bad as I had imagined it was. He was bleeding and there was a nice gash on the side of his head. He ended up getting 4 staples. It took us forever in the ER by the time I got home it was 2:30 am and I had to be up at 6:00am to go into work. Needless to say he had a slight concussion and the 4 staples. He was actually very lucky that it more a less grazed his head and didn't fall completely on top of him. He just had to take it easy for a few days and the staples need to come out in a few days.
Recipe for card:
Stamps: I (heart) Hearts, Patterned Pines, Christmas Cardinal.(sentiment)
Inks: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler.
Card Stock: Cherry Cobbler, Jolly Holiday DSP, Old Olive, WW.
Accessories: White grosgrain ribbon colored with Old Olive Stampin Write marker.
Enjoy the rest of your evening. Thanks for stopping by. Til next time.

Celebrating World Card Making day

Good morning everyone,
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. World Card making day was Sat, but I celebrated it on Sunday with a friend. We had a nice time and we made 6 cards 3 Fall and three Halloween. She was able to make two because I had extra card stock, so she went home with 11 cards which was great . It was a pretty relaxing day, we were able to talk and had a few snacks, good way to celebrate World Card Making day.
Here is a new card I just made, this wasn't included in that class. I actually got this idea from the SU catty, changed up the colors added a layer or two, I was very pleased with it.
Recipe
Stamps: Autumn Harvest, Level 1 hostess set called Holiday Best (retired now)
Inks: Stazon Black, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive.
Card Stock: Rich Razzleberry for base, Old Olive for next layer, WW for last layer.
Accessories: Eyelet border punch, Vintage Wallpaper EB folder, Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, minature library clip.
I stamped the pumpkins and the leaf ,squash, acorn on WW  cut them out and adhered them with dimensionals to the front panel.
