Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hello friends,
I'm writing this from a new lap top, Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was very nice , we were all together in the morning and then we all went separate ways for dinner. The boys are older now so they have places and people to see like girlfriend's parents' and grandparents' houses to be at. I did have many Christmas cards that I've made, but still can't get my scanner to work. I did get a new wireless printer with a scanner so hopefully I and my son can get it up and running and maybe I'll be able to get my pics up.

I have to tell you about my ride to work yesterday. I was driving t o work at about 7:45 a.m. and what to my wandering eyes should appear but a beautiful rainbow filling up the sky. It was so bright, how could I have a bad day after that? What a way to end the month of December.
Now we are coming upon the New Year. I will be glad to see this year end for I lost many family members and friends in the year 2011. One of my resolutions is to try and write in this blog more often and get some of the creations I will be working on. I also need to do some scrap booking more often. I know I say this all the time so hopefully it will work out. I still have yet to get the My digital software onto this computer. I have it on the main computer, my son will have to help me with that.
I am still learning how these windows work. This laptop has windows 7 so it's a little different from what I am use to. Well I just wanted to check in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas a little late and a Happy and healthy and safe New Year. Take care and til next time.
 Happy Stamping,

Well hello everyone.
I see they've changed blog spot a little. Now I am going to have to learn how to navigate and post once again. It has been quite a while since I've posted. Let's see what's been going on since I last posted.?
I've moved I think you all know that. My younger son got his driver's license, went to college near by so he commutes back and fourth. My older son has gone away to Anna Maria college visits occasionally. Since we moved in we lost our hot water tank within a month and it took 11 days to get a new one, so we had no hot water for awhile. That was no fun. After a week of being in here our dryer died. I am choreographing a play in Acton, Alice in Wonderland for ages 5-11. it's been a great experience, this is my first time attempting something like this. It's been fun. That goes up the week  end before Thanksgiving. I just started putting my stamping classes on in September. I've been working on some Fall cards and now working on Christmas cards for a Stamp -  Stack class I am having the week end after Thanksgiving. Here are a few of the cards i have been working on, oh yea my scanner also had to be unpluggeg for the summer because our Central air wouldn't work right when it was plugged in I hope it's not the same story with the heat and the scanner, we'll see soon.

Well I wanted to post my cards that I have been working on but I can't get the scanner  to work so it will have to wait until I can get it working or my son helps me figure it out. So til next time.

Happy Stamping,

Pam

New address

Hello everyone,

It's been a while again. We have moved. We are finally in and most of the place is put together. It was a quick move didn't have any intention on moving again but alas we had to. We are now in Leominster and we love the new place. You haven't heard from me because we were packing and moving. My stamping supplies are out but not the least bit organized so I haven't had any stamping projects up yet. Hopefully by August. In the mean time I hope to have a get together with my stamping girls so I can give out the new catalogs and just enjoy each other's company.  That's what's happening here and why you haven't heard from me recently. Thanks for checking in have a good day. Til next time.

Graduation Invites

Hello Everyone,

It's been a couple of busy weekends. Last weekend was a week end of partying and celebrating. My younger son K. J. graduated from LHS last Sat. He had three parties to attend. Sun. another party to attend. I've never eaten so many hamburgers and hot dogs in one weekend.

This past Sat We had a dance recital so therefore there wasn't time for a party for K.J. His party will be on June 25th. These are the invites I created using MDS (My Digital Studio) a software program that can be purchased through Stampin' Up! All the material on this dvd has images from Su, embellishments, punches and designer series paper that can be used for digital scrap booking and Hybrid type projects, cards, banners and such. I'm really beginning to enjoy this program, it took me to warming up to it.
Thanks for stopping by, Til next time

Not stamping much

Hello everyone,
It's been a very busy couple of weeks. I haven't done much stamping because we are in the process of moving and we have been putting an offer on a place and had to keep going back and fourth to the real estate agent. Also my younger son K.J. graduated high school this weekend. Yay K.J. way to go! we had three parties we went to on Saturday the actual day of graduation and then yesterday we were at another. It's just been crazy busy. Now he's done and needs to go out to work until college. His graduation party we are doing at the end of June because we have a dance recital and moving and father's day for the next three weekends. I hate the thought of packing everything up again. We just moved two years ago and here we go again. Anyway hope everyone had a nice weekend. Thanks for visiting. Til next time.
Happy Stamping!

Another Hybrid card

Hello Everyone,

It's Tuesday and it was a really nice day for a change. It actually felt like summer. Now it's clouding up and we are suppose to get thunder boomers and then rain for the next few days. It's been a busy week and month, we've survived another prom, a play performance, and this is my son's last week of school because he is a senoir and they get out earlier than the rest of the school. Graduation is June 4rth and so is dress rehearsal for our dance recital how much fun does that sound. Then comes dance recital on June 11th and then a graduation party for K.J. It's gonna be busy. Well on that note I've been working on many graduation cards lately. A woman that I work with has asked me to make a couple for her and then I have my nephew and my own son all graduating.

This card is a hybrid card because I wanted to personalize it and I don't have the stamps to do it with so I have to combine the digital and the real cardstock.
I really like the way this turned out.
Stamps: none image and text came from MDS(My Digital Studio) through SU.
Inks: Crumb Cake Not Quite Navy
Card stock: Naturals White and Crumb Cake
Accessories: Tulip EB folder, SU sponges, and stampin write marker with color spritzer tool

On the other note I've also been working on a couple of Farther's day cards. I'm planning to use this one maybe for a SAS that I have scheduled for June. This is not a hybrid.
Supplies for this card are
Stamps: Sense Of Time, Oval All
Inks: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, To the nines DSP
Accessories: Jumbo brads, vintage brads, stamping sponges, MD oval punch, and Chocolate Chip satin ribbon.
Well that's what I've been up to. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day. Til next time.

Hybrid graduation card

Hello Everyone,

I have owned My Digital Software from Stampin' Up! for almost a year .  I haven't used it much but would like to use it more. I created a graduation card for a friend's niece who is graduating from high School this year. I really do like the way it came out. I printed it on regular printer paper and then added my card stock colors behind it and embellished it with some vanilla rosettes. I guess you would  call it a Hybrid card some digital and some stamping? I liked it so much that I made this card from the MDS studio for my son also just changed the ribbon to the Baker's Twine and used silver brads with stars instead of rosettes. His school colors are blue and white. I will put that one  up when I  finally print it. This was a really fun project. I printed this on my home printer, at 100% best color.
Thanks for visiting, have a good night. Til next time.

Baby Girl name frame

Hello Everybody,
It's Monday so happy Monday. This is a name frame that I just finished for my niece's friend's baby. She asked me about it earlier and said she wanted to confirm the baby's name so I waited and then today she informed me that the baby came early so I had do some quick handy work on this one. It's done now.  The end is cut a little bit because it wouldn't all fit into the scanner. Here are the details
stamps: Pure and Simple alphabet. (retired)
 Inks: Certainly Celery
CS.: Designer paper which has been retired for a couple of years so I don't remember the name of this one. Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery, WW.
Accessories: Big Shot, Vanilla Rosettes,  which I colored with a stampin write marker in Pretty In Pink, Hodge podge Hard ware in Antique Brass (retired), Sweetest stems sisslits, Beautiful Wings sizzlits. Also used Certainly Celery ribbon bundle(retired) Chantilly lace trim also on the end I used some Pretty In Pink taffeta ribbon tied with some Chantilly Lace trim in a not plus a very small butterfly on the E which can't be seen here. I hope it was what she was looking for in colors. She said light pink and light green.
I impressed my self today I scrap booked another page.that makes two pages so far for the month of May, National Scrap booking month. It was my son's girlfriend's junior prom. There will be another next week because he has Senior prom on Sat. I'm not use to all this scrap booking stuff, maybe I'll get better with practice. just maybe.lol.
Thanks for stopping in ,have a great night. Til next time.

Technique cards

Hello everyone,
What a beautiful day it is here. It got to be 75 yay! I've been working on a couple of cards.  One is for my class which we will be doing the knotted flower technique which I got from Madeline Morello on Split coast stampers, here is her blog www. thestampingstudio.blogspot.com., if you want to check out some of other cards using the knotted flower. It is really neat because you can use this technique on sb pages cards or anyplace that you need an embellishment.
The supplies used  for this card:
Stamps: Sincere Salutations
 Inks: Basic Black
CS: Real Red, Love Letter Designer paper,Basic Black and very vanilla.
Accessories: Big shot with the tulip Eb. folder which you can't see very well on the scan. I used it on the edges of the black going across. Scallop Trim border punch, real red 1/8 taffeta ribbon, for the knotted ribbon, black Grosgrain ribbon, basic pearl jewels,, md oval punch, scallop oval punch, antique brad, dimensionals and mini glue dots.
I also tried another really neat technique that I would like to show at my class but don't know if we'll have time, maybe, we'll see here is a card using that technique. This is a card I cased from a lady named Pam Logan on Split coast Stampers. It looks like the gear images are embossed right into the card. I think I read somewhere it was called the  Pessed Flowers except I did it with the gears.
Supplies used for this card
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Ink: Soft Suede.CS: Not Quite Navy, WW, Soft Suede
Accessories: Big shot, Lattice EB. Folder, Coggs Gear Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch Dimensionals and mini Glue Dots.

Happy may

Good Morning Everyone,
Happy May! Can you believe May is here? Still doesn't feel like May,we are still getting cool weather here in MA.
This is the 8x8 scrap book page that I worked on last week. These pics. are a year old . This is my older son Paddy and his girlfriend Jen on their way to her senior prom last May. Paddy is in his second year of college now and Jen is finishing up her first year at the end of the month. I cased the sketch from April Stampin' Success magazine. Anyone who knows me knows that scrap booking kind of intimidates me so I need all the help I can get. I want to do so much more scrap booking but it takes me a long time to think about pages and how they should look, also I'm not a big picture taker. I hope to do better this year.
Now my younger son K.J. is been to his girlfriend's junior prom and on the 14th of May he and her will be going to his senior prom. I'll have to scrap book those pics. too. He also had Sr. portraits done so there's another scrap booking opportunity. Yikes! Busy month.
This is the page we will be doing at my monthly stamping class. This month is National scrap book month. We will also be doing a card using a knotted ribbon flower technique and may be one more thing we'll see. I will show that a soon as I make it.
Supplies:
Stamps; Occasional Quotes
Ink: Marina Mist.
Card stock: Crumb cake, Marina Mist, Botanical Gazette Designer paper.
Accessories: Big Shot, Polka dot EB folder, 2 step bird punch,Spring Bouquet Buttons which are retired, Crumb Cake seam binding, Filigree brads and soft subtle brads ( retired) for center of Filigree brad.On Board chip board alphabet.
Thanks for stopping by,have a great day. Til next time.

Uncomfortable with using Brights color pallette.

O.k. here I am again. I needed to get back to stamping and I finally did. I'm not very comfortable with using the bright color palette but here are two cards the same but different colors. I'm trying to use up the SAB ice cream parlor Designer paper and the coordinating colors are all brights. I've run out of melon mambo and Daffodil Delight so I'll have to try some other combo that goes along with this paper until I get more. Here are the two different colors cards.
First card was made using Pacific Point , Daffodil delight, WW. card stock, Ice Cream Parlor dp. Chocolate Chip and melon mambo ink pads. The Big shot was used  by running pp cs through the eb folder polka dots, the scallop trim border punch, Ice cream parlor buttons, and the ribbon all from the SAB promotion which I earned for free. melon Mambo polka dot ribbon but I flipped it because there was enough polka dots on the card already. The stamp set was called sweet scoops.
The second card all of the same ingredients but using  Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink and WW cardstock instead.
I also have a scrapbook page that I worked on , but will put it up a little later.
Thanks for visiting, have a great night. Til next time.

Amongst the missing.

Hello everyone,

I have been missing for a little while. It's been kind of busy. I've had a couple of Stamp a Stack classes and my own monthly class. I've been really busy at work , trying to get my younger son off to his girlfriend's junior prom and my dad passed away a couple of weeks ago and we were busy with all that. I haven't done much stamping lately . I really need to get back to it. Also my younger son has had some medical issues and worries I've been dealing with. Hopefully that will get better. He really keeps me worrying.
I did these cards oh about a month ago. I'm really loving our sneak peek  stamp set called Four Frames and really loving the Paisley Prints Designer series paper. I will be doing a class very soon using both of these new products.
Sale - A Bration is over and done with so disregard the SAB brochure on the right. I will remove it as soon as I figure out how to do that with out messing up the whole side bar. LOL
So my younger son went to prom Sat night and they really looked good  together. His girlfriend's dress was beautiful and so was she. K.J. cleaned up nicely once he shaved. K.J is a senior so he will be doing this again in may for Sr. prom. I hope to post the one picture that I took. They came here to take pics and my camera only took one pic when it told me that the internal memory was full. I couldn't figure it out because I bought a memory card a while ago and it was suppose to hold quite a few pics. Well I got the one and at least it was a good one. Later after they left  I opened my camera to realize that the memory card wasn't pushed in all the way so that is why the memory was full. I really wish I knew more about camera technology. Now I have to figure out how to get the prom picture off the internal memory and onto the camera . I think I will need a usb chord. So as soon as I do that I will post the one pic. I had taken.
Anyways here a couple of Thank You cards I had made. One using the new products Four Frame and Paisley Prints Designer paper and the other using this beautiful stamp set called Nature walk which we received from regionals for free and can be ordered from the Occasions Mini Catalog, good until the end of April.
The 1st card used the Four Frames sneak peek stamp set this will be in the new catalog that comes out in July. The Paisley Print Desgner series paper. I used Teeny Tiny wishes for the Thank you.and used pure and simple (retired) alphabet set. Card stock used was River Rock Old olive,Tangerine tango, Marina Mist and WW.

Inks used: Not Quite navy.
Accessories used  Antique brads, Decorative Label punch, Linen thread, glue Dots snail adhesive.
I'm thinking this would make a great Mother's day card if we used Celebrate instead of Thank.

The next card supplies used :
Stamps: Walk With nature, Teeny Tiny wishes.
Inks: Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry Marker and Old olive Marker.
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, WW.
Accessories: Crumb cake Taffeta ribbon
Thanks so much for visiting, Leave a comment, I just want to know if the comment button is functioning. Til next time, have a good day.

Hello everyone,

Happy Sunday. That means that I am approaching my two days off. Yay! I have a lot of stamping to catch up with.  I went to the SU Regionals on Fri in CT. it was fun got a free stamp set and made some really cool projects which I haven't quite finished yet. I didn't have time to finish them on stamping time while I was at the seminar. But you get everything you need to recreate them at home including the directions. I think I got almost three projects done and there are 5 while I was there. They only give you like 30 minutes to 45 minutes for stamping time twice throughout, so that's just not enough time for me. The workshop Wows were really great and the tips we got were pretty good too. All in all I enjoyed my day. I was glad to get home. It did spark my excitement once again.
These are the projects that we will be making in my Sun Big shot class plus the cute little owl magnetic calender which has been posted a while ago. Happy St Patrick's Day

Hello everyone,

happy St Patrick's day. we had our St Patrick's day dinner on Tuesday Corn beef and cabbage. because it was the only night I was home long enough, to cook it.
Last Sunday I had a class with my downline, a card carrier Class, actually it was her class but was held at my house because she is in the process of moving. We had a couple of people and I have never made one of these and wanted to learn so I did the class too. This is my card carrier ,I used the retired DSP called Cottage wall. I really loved this paper. It is the same designs as the the one in the catalog called Sunny Garden which uses the new in colors Poppy Parade, pear pizazz, daffodil Delight and peach Parfait. They are pretty too.
I'm getting ready for the SU Regionals in Ct. tomorrow. I'll post about that sometime when I get back. I will be going with my down line. We have to leave by 6:00 am to be there for check in between 8 and 9 am. I'm really looking forward to it. This is my very 1st SU. event. I just wish we didn't have to leave so early. This will turn out to be another busy weekend because Sat. night my husband and I are going to see The DropKick Murphys I'll explain how we ended up going to that  in another post.

Hello Everyone,

Anyways this is the swap that I decided to bring to Regionals with me. I made 20 of these, they weren't difficult the thing that took me the longest was deciding what colors to use. I'll tell you this is when that color coach from SU comes in handy. I just thumbed through the different color combinations til I found one that I liked and was different than my usual combnations. Hope you enjoy. Til next time.
Oops! There it is ,the counter showed up. LOL

Tiny Teacup Single Stamp

SU Regional Seminar coming up

Hello Everyone,
I had my up line's card carrier class on Sunday, there were only a couple of us but it was really nice and relaxing. Their carriers came out really pretty.
It was a busy weekend, On Sat I went to see Mary poppins in boston at the Opera house. It was fantastic, the choreography was excellent. I was very impressed and the costumes just every thing about was fun and fantastic. The guy tap danced right up the wall to the ceiling and down the other side. Mary Poppins flew right over the audience, The cast was great too. The show got out at about 10:45 and by the the time we hopped on the T and got home it was like 1:45 but the clocks jumped ahead that night so it was really 2:45 and then my son and I had to be at work for 7:30, needless to say it was a short night. On top of that we were really busy by the time we got home we were both exhausted. I then had that card carrier class, I'm surprised i made it through.By evening I was ready to call it a night. Today is my day off so I got a chance to catch up on some sleep. Yay.
I'm going to the Regional SU Seminar on Fri in CT. and  I need to create some swaps so I decided to try the SAB Bliss set and played around with it. This is what I came up with at the time. I have since come up with a different one and just finished them today. I'll post a little later.
Supplies:
Marina Mist CS
Naturals whiteCS
SAB Bliss stamp set

Teen B-day card request

Hello everyone,

I had a request to make a teen girl B-day card from an employee at work. I find that teen cards can sometimes be challenging. This is a card that I came up with. It's Bella shopping,  and as far as I know most teen girls love to shop and I also added some bling with the rhinestone jewels, not to mention the paper has some glitter in it. What teenager doesn't like bling? Anyways this is the best I could do for now. Tell me what you think and leave a comment.  The stamp of coarse is not Stampin' UP! and neither is the flower, that is a prima from flowers. Every thing else is SU.
Supplies

Stamps: bella, Build A Cup Cake
 inks: Stazon Black, Versa mark
Cardstock: Basic Black, Candy cane Designer paper, Real red, WW.
Accessories: Raven lace trim, Prima, Corduroy Button (retired) Scallop Oval  Punch, medium Oval punch, Clear Embossing powder, Rhinestone jewels, Stampin write markers, Baja breeze, real red, W.C. Wonder crayons black, Blender pen, Dimensionals, Glue dots.

Thanks for stopping by and looking, Enjoy your evening. Til next time.

They are looking for a baby shower girl card and a card for bigger girls. I forgot to ask like what age. I will tomorrow.

I do need to get moving on 25 -30 swap cards for the CT regional I will be attending on March 18th. I have no idea what to make or use, I want something easy and quick but still looking nice and professional because there are so many. Any suggestions would be wonderful. Feels Like Spring

Good Afternoon ladies,

Feels like Spring out there today, so refreshing. It's like 50 very easy to take. I have a card project on my sidebar that I thought I would experiment with. I thought it would make a cute Birthday card for my grandaughter who will be turning 4 in march.  I changed the stamp and the colors a bit and used pom pom trim instead of the scallop border trim punch. I did one in two different colors. I think i like the melon Mambo better. My hubby likes  the turquoise better. What do you think? Both color pallettes are out of my comfort zone. i don't usually use brights/
Supplies for the top one are
Stamps: Create A Cupcake, Flexible phrases(retired)
Inks: Pear Pizazz, Tempting Turquoise, Peach Parfait for the flame.
Cardstock: WW, Island oasis Designer paper (retired) .
Accessories: Build A Cupcake punch, Daffodil delight Taffeta ribbon, Sew It Buttons, Daffodil delight pom pom trim, copper eyelet (retired).
The  bottom card

Cardstock: Melon Mambo DSP paper Pack,WW
Accessories: Build a Cupcake punch, Daffodil delight pom pom trim Sew It Button, copper eyelet, Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon..
These were kind of fun to make. Hope you enjoyed your visit. Til next tome.

The Monday After Superbowl Sunday

Good Morning,
It's Monday morning, the day after the Superbowl, everyone was very tired after being up last night. I'm up having my coffee, I figured I would blog. For a change there is no huge storm coming towards us this week. There is a little snow coming tomorrow but nothing like we've been having.

Did anyone who watched the Superbowl have favorite commercials? I had a couple, I liked the dog going through the door after the Doritos, I also liked the dogs who were working a party and having beer, that was pretty funny and cute. I also liked the one where the girl got hit in the head with the pepsi can, the other one that comes to mind was when they showed a lot of the old icons like Fonzie, Alf, Jeffersons , Marcia getting hit with football and a bunch of other that I remember. Then if your a Glee fan that came on right after and I had to watch that, I am a Glee fan, I guess that makes me a gleek? It was a good episode.
Nothing else to really report. Here is a card I worked on while I was following the Superbowl. I'm using it for my march Braks. It's simple. I love the new create a cupcake stamp set and the Build a cupcake  punch. I don't own either one yet but is coming in my next order which is due tomorrow but really hoping it comes early and shows up today because I really want to play with some of the new products. Occasionally it does show up early but because I want it to today it probably won't. The cupcake I used on this card was from the stamp set Sock Monkey, it worked out o.k.
I used  all SU products on this, again it is not a very fancy or difficult card.. It would make a good SAS card I think.

Old Stamp set current D.S.P

Hello stamping friends,
Here we are gearing up for another snowstorm, this time it could last almost 2 days. It's getting ridiculous, I have no idea where we are going to put it all. As is we can't see around the snowbanks to get out of side streets or onto a highway.

Here is a card I actually worked on today. I haven't really made any valentine's day cards but i made this one today. This is an old stamp set , it's not retired it 's just been around for a very long time. I paired it off with the newer D.S.P. called Love letters. It can be used for a masculine or a feminine. This is actually cased but I don't remember who.
Thanks for looking have a nice night. Til next time.

Hello Everyone,

It's Monday again, and my day off. Actually everyone was off today because it was a holiday. It was nice to have everyone home. My younger son had a friend stay over night and they were good. It was nice to be able to sleep in a little longer than I usually do, because I didn't have to get up and get my son to school either. I love days like this. I did create a baby card today trying to stick to my challenge of one card a day. This particular card is one of my Feb. cards. I'm trying to use up some of the DS. paper. I made this a couple of nights ago. I will be posting some cards that we will be making in my Feb. SAS class soon. I have 2 of them made, a B-day card design and a baby card design, that's coming but for now here is another one of my Feb,. cards using the Love letter DS paper.

Hello everyone,

Looks like we are sitting on quite the snowstorm this time around. I imagine the kids will have no school tomorrow. Fitchburg has already canceled, Leominster will wait til the last minute. I guess we'll just wait and see what happens. I'm suppose to work at 5:00am. lucky me , I really don't know if I'll get in tomorrow. It's a diner so therefore it probably won't close, maybe he'll call me and tell me not to come in? That would be fine with me.I can't see us being busy in the middle of a snowstorm of this magnitude.
Here is one of my Feb.  cards I made. It's not a Valentine day card but it certainly resembles one , which is why it makes a good card for the month of Feb. Also a good way to use up all that extra D.S. paper.
Supplies;
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Inks: Basic Black
Card stock: Basic Black, Love letter D.S. Paper, Riding hood red, Very vanilla.
Accessories; Lg. Scallop Punch, 1 3/4 circle punch, 1 3/8 circle punch, 1 1/4 circle punch., Fire  rhinestone Brads, raven lace ribbon.. Also made this same card using the chantily crochet ribbon, but ran out of that one.
Thanks for stopping by, stay safe during the storm. Til next time.

Faux Silk Technique

Hello everyone,

The holidays are over and we are back  into our regular routines. I am having a workshop on the 30th of this month and the technique is called silk Faux and it will be during one of our most popular promotions that SU offers called sale-A-bration. You can receive free stuff if you place a qualifying order. For every $50.00  order you can receive 1 of our 6 different products for free. How exciting is that!

Here are the cards we will be doing to show the technique. A more vibrant one the snowflake and the other a softer look, all looking like silk. The snowflake one showed up on the scan better than the flower up above. Also the snowflake card that we will be doing will be a 4x4 rather than the size shown. The one shown is a little small for my liking.
