Good morning Stamping Friends,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I had a Mother's Day celebration class yesterday, we made the scarf and a Mother's day card. It was very nice and a small class. We were able to enjoy each other's company and stories and enjoy eating together. The girls' scarves came out beautiful. As one of the ladies mentioned  each one of them did a scarf with some of the same sets but yet they all came out differently. I should have taken pictures of their scarves and posted them up here to show how different each one came out. That's the beauty of stamping and creating we all see things differently. Besides the card and scarf we did one scrap book page, actually 2. The pages that I posted a few days of my son was the pages we were doing for class, same color scheme and everything. As I started to prepare for my class I realized I didn't have enough of the Old Olive cardstock to make 2 pages for all who were attending so I had to come up with another color scheme. I came up with these colors by using my SU color coach which I love and am excited about getting the new one when it comes out. But then I realized that the embelishments would have to be change also, the colors made it a little more girl oriented than I wanted it to be but luckily most of the ladies that attended had girls,in fact I'm the one who has boys and I find scrap booking and embelishments  for boys  a real challenge, I find girls easier to scrap book for. The ladies loved the colors, I'm so glad. I had to look for a couple of pictures to put into these pages as a sample. This little girl is my niece Kaylee. She's one. The plain pale plumb under the clip is for journaling which I haven't got to yet. Most of the colors I used will be retiring when the new color renovation comes in. Enjoy the old colors for now.

Recipe for the two page 6x6 layout

Stamps: Pure and Simple Alphabet set
Ink: Brocade Blue
Cardstock: Mellow Moss, Pale Plumb. So Saffron, Brocade Blue
Accessories: Big Shot, Beautiful Bouquet embossing folder, 1 3/4 circle punch, Scallop Punch, Beautiful Wings embosslits Die, Primas, Brads in soft subtles, Playground buttons, Mini library clips and mellow moss taffeta ribbon, dimensionals .

Well off to make a couple of graduation cards using the Go Graduate stamp set from the summer mini will post later some time. Thanks for visiting ,have a great day. Til next time.

Happy Friday

Hello Everyone

Who hoo, I finally got back to the gym and took my first Kickboxing class since May of 2009. It felt good to get back , but I know I'll be feeling it tomorrow, hopefully I can get back to a regular workout schedule. I also finished cutting my card stock for the Mother's Day class I will be having on Sun. Now I'll be able to relax a little.
This afternoon I decided to use up the last piece of my Cocoa specialty paper. I loved this paper for the holidays, I made a non- Christmas card with my last piece. I was so excited about my bow, it came out perfect, those who know me , know I stay away from bows and use knots more, because my bows usually come out so awful. I'm thrilled with this bow. Probably won't be able to do it again LOL

Ink: Soft Suede
Card stock: Real Red , Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP,WW

Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,

Here is that scrapbook page that I was having so much trouble uploading yesterday. We will be making these scrap book pages on Sun as well as the scarf and Mother's day card. I honestly am not real crazy about the way it came together, I think it was the colors just don't match the pic real well and I don't think I like the idea of a pic in a scrapbook going into the next page . I don't know. I liked it when I saw it in the stampin Success book.
This is my oldest son Padraig, he graduated last year from HS and now is a student at Quinsigamond college. We had a very long day yesterday. My hubby and I decided to go to his baseball game and it was a double header because a few of their games have been rained out. the first game they lost by 1 but all in all it was a good game. We weren't planning on staying for the second game but he really wanted us to stay because he was playing in that game also, so we went to grab a bite to eat and then went to the game they were in the second inning when we got there , we put down our blanket and settled in. Well by the top of th third inning my son was up at bat and sure enough he got a fast ball right in the back of his neck and down he went.He was down for awhile. We then had to proceed to the Er to the nearest hospital he was a sore puppy, and his face was a little numb, he was very dizzy and said he felt like his head was ready to explode. We were there for about 5 hrs, they checked him and we was doing better at about three hrs after  we were there. He's been place on pain meds and today he is sore but it could have been alot worse than it was, needless to say he has a small concussion and isn't able to play the next few games. We went to the game at about 12 noon and didn't get home from everything until about 10:30. That was my long day, thanks for stopping by, til next time.

Happy Patriot's day

Happy Patriot's day to everyone,
Not a huge holiday but a lot of people have it off and it is the day of the Boston Marathon, which I could never imagine running 26 miles, my hats off to them. This  is a card I made over the weekend, the orange bubble I left blank because I didn't know what type of card this was going to be, but I could add Happy Birthday, or hello or hi or for you ,when I decide what sentiment I want to use.
My younger son Kieran has gone to his dad's for the week,  they are looking at colleges, he'll be a senior in High School next year ,this is their April school vacation week . My older son Padraig will be in and out all week. He has baseball games for his college and some double headers. I think my hubby and I are going to try and make one of his games today.
I do have a scrapbook page that we are making in my class this Sun coming up but I'm having trouble uploading it. Story of my computer life, uploading is always a challenge for me. LOL. I will get it up here hopefully soon.

This is Max

This is our newest member of the family, The pic below is the way he looked before he was shaved, the pic to the right is what he now looks like after his new haircut. I do miss my fluffy puppy, but his fur will be healthier when it grows back. He was abandoned in our yard for about a month in a half , he was running free and everyone told us that he had no home and depended on others to feed him, so we took him in and he has been living with us for 7 months, he has a very sweet nature and genuinely loves people. I finally can upload pics and some day I will have one of myself to put up on this blog, I don't particularly like having my pic taken. Anyways I just wanted to see if I could figure out how to post a regular pic from a different folder. Bear with me, i'm still learning. L.O.L

New Color Renovation ?

Hello everybody

Just got exciting news from SU. SU is renovating their color palette. Come July 1st of the new catalog year there will be new color collections that will enhance your imagination and creativity. I am so excited about these new color collections. They have brought back some of the past In Colors and added 5 brand new core colors. This means that some of the colors we grew to know and love from SU will be retiring, although saddened by loosing some of my favorites I know I will have many new favorites to play with and spark excitement. These  charts will show you the colors that will be leaving us so if you love them and don't want to let go quite yet make sure you stock up on your favorites before June 30th 2010, and the new colors that I,m sure your going to love. I already have a few that I love such as the Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede which will continue on with us. You will notice that some of the colors have switched categories and we no longer will be putting them into families, such as Bold Brights, Soft Subtles etc.Ok I know I said that I would show you two charts one of retiring colors and the other new colors, I am having trouble uploading the retiring colors at the moment so here is the chart for the new color collection if you are familiar with the SU colors the ones that are missing will be the ones retiring or you can get the old chart by going to stampin'up.com  and look at the catty for the present colors. Sorry for this inconvenience, but I warned you that comp. savvy I'm not.LOL. I should have some cards uploaded and even a couple of pics of family animals now that I've learned how to upload the pics from my camera with the help of my son Kieran 16. Thanks Kieran.
Thanks for visiting, til next time
