Week 7

Hello Everyone,
Can you believe that Thanksgiving is almost here?  I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving and get to eat lots of turkey.
I managed to catch the 7th Harry potter this weekend  and it was awesome!  I really enjoyed it. My hubby on the other hand isn't really a harry Potter fan but has been to all of the movies. He liked it but he's not into it like my son K.J. and I are. We got tickets  early because we were afraid it would be packed and there is nothing worse than having to sit in a movie theater in the first front rows. We went in about a half hour early and there were quite a few people already there. We didn't end up in the front rows we were somewhere in the middle, which was o.k.
Continuing on with the 12 weeks of Christmas, I finally got my 7th week of Christmas card done. Here it is.
Supplies:
Stamps: Bells and Boughs
Inks: Always Artichoke, crumb cake, Early espresso,

Have a good  evening and thanks for dropping by. Til next time.
Happy Thanksgiving  everyone!

Hello Everyone,
Well here it is Wed, it's the middle of the week for most of you or what they say over the hump day, unfortunately it is the beginning of my week. It wasn't a very good day today everyone's emotions seemed to be running very high .  people ended up crying another group ended up fighting, I think we were all pms sing. lol
Anybody getting ready for the 7th harry Potter movie? I know I'm looking forward to seeing it. We won't be going until the 2cnd weekend because the first weekend will be way too  cahotic. It will be kind of sad when we come to the very end of this. I was sad when all the books were done and I read them.
Another note  anybody watching Dancing With The Stars? Last nights results were pretty surprising sort of. I can't believe Brandy and Maks were kicked off. I mean Bristol  has improved a great deal and she has been beautiful but  Brandy shouldn't of been kicked off. This is just an opinion.
Anyways I have a craft fair or show going on Thurs, here in Leominster and these are my book mark paper clips that I've been working on. my friend and I are hoping to get some new contacts and maybe book a couple of workshops or classes plus we'll be selling some items also. These were a lot of fun to make.
Supplies I used are
various stamp sets from SU : Tiny Teacup, Tart and tangy, Just Buzzin By
Inks: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Real Red.

November stamping class projects

Hello Everyone,

Here are a couple of the projects that we will be making in our November stamping class. The decorative pumpkin that is made out of DSP and the Fall luminary using the big Shot Fancy favor die.
These are sure to brighten up any Thanksgiving table as extras or as a center piece with the Turkey nuggets which I haven't uploaded yet because they don't scan well. May have to take a photo rather than scanning. Would rather scan than take a photo because I'm not real familiar with uploading from my camera. I've done it a couple of times but still not sure. Will be posting the turkeys as soon as I can.
These projects were really a lot of fun to make. This is the luminary without lighting it, maybe I can get a pic of it when it's lit. I will try.

Christmas shopping in Maine

Hello everyone,

Been away for a short time. I have been enjoying a weekend away with my mom in Maine for a Christmas Shopping spree. Got most of it done except the immediate, the 2 boys my hubby and of coarse my mom because she was with me. Fri night was horrible weather but the rest of the week end was just beautiful. It was nice to get away and be able to relax and not be up at 4;00am to be at work. We didn't have to hurry to get anywhere. We also ate very well. Love the Kittery Outlets especially the Lnidt chocolate outlet. I got so many good deals there. Also the Cannon factory which I ended up getting sheets and a quilt for my son's new bed. Curtains for our bedroom, a couple of things greatly needed in the bathroom. It was just a great week end. Now back to reality.LOL. Thanks for stopping by, have a good day. Til next time.

Christmas Card week 1

Hello Everyone,
Here is a card that was sent to my E-mail from one of the demonstrators/upline that  did Quarterly meetings in Rhode Island that I use to go to. Her name is Marni Levitt. She is doing an e-mail 12 weeks of Christmas and this is the Christmas card week 1 that I cased from that. I didn't really change up this one at all , except the grosgrain ribbon because I didn't have the 5/8 width. Very simple but cute.
It's been quite the weekend. My younger son K.J went to a friend's house Friday night. I was just going to bed at about 11:30 when the phone call came in. " There's been a serious accident K.J and a few friends were in the bedroom and the bed collapsed onto  K.J's  head. I was soo scared all I could think about was that his skull was crushed. She said we should pick him up and take him to the hospital,so my husband and I went to get him. Luckily it wasn't as bad as I had imagined it was. He was bleeding and there was a nice gash on the side of his head. He ended up getting 4 staples. It took us forever in the ER by the time I got home it was 2:30 am and I had to be up at 6:00am to go into work. Needless to say he had a slight concussion and the 4 staples. He was actually very lucky that it more a less grazed his head and didn't fall completely on top of him. He just had to take it easy for a few days and the staples need to come out in a few days.
Recipe for card:
Stamps: I (heart) Hearts, Patterned Pines, Christmas Cardinal.(sentiment)
Inks: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler.
Card Stock: Cherry Cobbler, Jolly Holiday DSP, Old Olive, WW.
Accessories: White grosgrain ribbon colored with Old Olive Stampin Write marker.
Enjoy the rest of your evening. Thanks for stopping by. Til next time.

My weekend Begins

Hello Everyone,
It's Monday, the beginning of my weekend. It's been an interesting week at work. There is a baby skunk that has been roaming the grounds, he is so cute and little, he comes very close to people and then just looks at them and goes on his way. I heard somewhere that baby skunks don't spray because their smell sacks aren't quite mature but I 'm not sure of that. I know there was a skunk smell the other day when I was leaving work. On Thurs we had our door open to let in the fresh air and this spunky pup came in and visited, he was really cute and friendly, apparently he was getting out of the car and he ran into our place before the owner was able to put the leash on him, she wasn't far behind him but he did manage to get into the back room and visit our grill lady. His owner caught up to him and took him out. That was the excitement in our restaurant for the week. Here are a couple of cards I made today, keeping in the scheme of Fall.

Halloween cards for World card making day

Hi Everyone,
Wow! I can't believe how cool and crisp the last couple of mornings have been. The weather is changing so quickly. A week ago it was so hot and humid and very summery, now it's been cool, feeling more like Fall. The leaves are already beginning to change. I love the Fall, early fall that is, as it gets later I'm not quite as crazy about it especially when it gets real cold. I will admit this cool crisp weather has really gotten me in the mood to think about Halloween, Fall and Thanksgiving cards. Here are the three Halloween cards we will be making in my World card making Day class on Sun Oct 3rd. If you live kind of close by and want to join us contact me for more details by e-mail pamlynnc@comcast.net we would love to have you.

It's early and dreary out here, I have my coffee and figured I would do a little blogging. My 17 year old K.J. went off to school today, not a very happy camper but he's off, I'll pick him up after cross country.
How was every body's weekend and Labor Day?  Ours was very nice we enjoyed a late graduation party yesterday, my 19 year old's girlfriend. She has already started college at Worcester State, Pat doesn't start til tomorrow.
I received a very cute owl card from one of my SCS pen pals Rita Jourdan and it was so cute, I wanted to case it, so here it is I used Peach Parfait instead of Pear Pizazz and the owls are different colors too. We will be making this in one of my monthly classes, Great way to use the Owl Punch which I love, also will show how to use this punch to make a Halloween ghost in the next month. Thanks Rita for the cute idea and card.
Also you will will notice that I have been adding some stuff on my sidebars,I'm still looking to add a few more things, I just have to figure out how to go about it.

Playing with new stuff again

Hello Stamping friends,

Well September is here. Hard to believe when the temps are in the 90's. It is really hot here and humid. I usually don't complain but today is hot. I worked and the air conditioner in the restaurant wasn't working properly, the temp was like 87, by the grill in the back it had to be 100.
Anyways I made an early Halloween card with some of the new stuff I had received and used a little old stuff too. I don't  make many Halloween cards, don't get me wrong I like Halloween and the decorations and cards but my boys are too old now.:(  The girls that come to my monthly classes do have younger children so I always try to do something Halloween for them. I will make some candy bag treats for my regular customers at the restaurant though.
Here is the card I made I used the spider web embossing folder on the black card stock it doesn't show well on this picture.

New Fall card

Hello stampng friends,

Most of the kids went back to school this morning here in Fitchburg,so it was quiet around the neighborhood. My son K.J doesn't go back until Sept 7th so he gets an extra week.
I figured now that school has started and some of the leaves are already changing here, that I would start shifting into a Fall mode for cards and plus I got the new stamp set French Foliage. I had many birthday cards I had to send out the month of September. World Card making day is coming up too, I think we'll make this card in October.
This card was cased from Cynthia Ann Doyon. I changed the colors up and added words behind the images. sponged all edges. I got the ribbon really cheap at a craft store and had for about two years and thought this would be a great way to use it up. I really liked the way it turned out.
  Recipe for card
  Stamps: French Foliage, Sincere Salutations
Inks: More Mustard, Rich Razzleberry, Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze
Card Stock: Cajun Craze base,Confetti Creme, Rich Razzleberry,
Accessories: Ribbon from local craft store, lg Decorative label punch,Lg Oval punch, sponges. Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by and have a good evening. Til next time.
